I’ve been in and out of Philly a lot over the past couple of weeks for different shoots. I took some extra time one day to wander around and peep the foliage that was happening on the quiet streets of the city, leading to loads of pictures that I couldn’t wait to share here. As you can see, there is a truly proper fall happening around these parts right now and I just cannot get enough of it. I also cannot believe that November crept up so quickly, and we are already busy planning the Thanksgiving menu for Robert’s family, and the Friendsgiving menu that we’ll be making for a smaller than usual crowd at our house just a couple of days after. In years past we’ve hosted Friendsgiving ahead of the official Thanksgiving holiday so I can share the recipes, but with my yoga teacher training schedule it was impossible to make that happen.
I’m actually rather excited for this marathon Thanksgiving weekend we’ll be having, and I know there will be a very real need to pace ourselves in the eating department. For this year’s spread we’re currently discussing a Pumpernickel and Prosciutto Stuffing, Root Vegetable Gratin, and Turkey with a Fennel Citrus Dry Brine, while we keep in some hits from years past, like the Classic Green Bean Casserole with Wild Mushroom Bechamel, and Cornbread Sausage + Collard Green Stuffing.
