ahead of schedule

now when has THAT ever happened during a home renovation?

I should be knocking on wood as I type this, because we are actually ahead of schedule on our home renovation! Moving in to our little house is being pushed up thanks to a speedy kitchen installation, final paint going quickly, and the floors coming together exceptionally smoothly, thanks to Robert's meticulous...meticulousness? Yes, I think he deserves two of those.

Now that we've been camping out on weekends for a while now, it looks like we're just one week out from officially residing in this space we've all worked so hard to modernize. Crazy! The only big projects left are installing the new wood floor in my studio (I did some white washing tests and am super excited to tackle that once it's installed), and updating the bathroom, which thankfully for the bathroom project I will be traveling during most of it, so one less person to worry about in a construction zone with no way of taking a shower. It's hard to believe we're this close all of the sudden. Granted, there are many projects still to conquer once we're living here, but the simple fact of getting in finally is making my heart really happy.

The darkest of dark navy wall turned out exactly as I pictured. Robert + Daisy approve.

The white I picked for the house has been shifting from warm to cool, depending on the time of day and the light quality of the room. It's absolutely lovely.

I'm beyond obsessed with this light fixture I found for the guest room. It's still available online here.

A typical snoozing bird dog. I think she'll be happy to have a more permanent place to sleep shortly.
