slowly but surely

how a holiday weekend + a lot of extra hands got us over the first hump

While most Philly + New Jersey residents flocked to the shore this weekend (then again maybe not.. what is with this weather!?) we were hunkered down with a handful of house projects that went exorbitantly quicker with 2 extra sets of hands, courtesy of my visiting parents. Thank you guys!!

a list of things I'm really stoked that we accomplished
in no particular order

→ Removed every last bit of wallpaper

→ Sanded, skim coated and fixed the walls in the Pepto-Bismol pink room! it's now much more palatable & ready for primer (we'll probably start living in this room soon while we finish the rest of the house, tbd)

→ Widened the doorway from our bedroom to my studio workspace (pocket door installation comes next!)

→ Removed almost all of the annoying tacks & staples from the hardwoods & removed a good amount of the revolting smelling carpet (yuck)

→ Removed all of the tiled flooring in my studio and the horrendously difficult to get out cement block underneath it

→ removed old mouldings from the bedrooms
