Bittersweet Greyhound Cocktail

Here's to the weekend, and a new seasonal cocktail! We take advantage whole heartedly of our beloved grapefruit season, especially the fresh squeezed grapefruit juice. Our riff on the greyhound adds campari and a raw sugared rim, making it an all around perfect drink if you want something a little sweet with a bitter kick. The classic greyhound is a bare bones drink. Grapefruit juice, gin or vodka, ice. Campari and grapefruit juice is a surprisingly delicious combination, and the campari gives another rich level of ruby red color.

To get the sugared rim- after you've juiced the grapefruit, slide the rim of the glass inside the halved grapefruit to coat with the excess juice. Place raw sugar on a flat plate or dish, and rotate to coat the entire rim.
