Christmastime is here
We're home in Rochester, ready to get our holiday on for the next week and I thought I'd share some Christmas snapshots.
It was the first year we got a pre-cut tree in the city, an entirely new and bittersweet experience for me. Of course it started pouring as soon as we arrived, sans umbrella. But we had no problem finding the most perfectly awkward and spindly 8 foot tree. The girl who helped us said "I knew someone would see this funny looking guy and fall in love." Apparently this is what fraser firs used to look like before they started filling them out to make them "prettier" for holiday time. I think they're a lot more charming a bit sparse and lanky.
I'll be posting these earl grey tea cookie sandwiches in time to make for Christmas!
