Spicy Kale Chips

January has been a month of working on of superfood recipes for the Free People blog.

An easy snack we wanted to incorporate was kale chips. These have some kick Since the greens are so hearty they're great for roasting and if you're not super into kale on its own... this is great for you. The last time I bought kale chips I think I spent around $5 for a little container, and after making these I don't think I have it in me to do that again. These are just too easy to make at home, and a big batch was enough to snack on all week long.

Spicy Kale Chips
1 bunch lacinato kale, stems removed
1 tbs olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flake
1 tsp cumin
salt and pepper to taste

Preheat oven to 300°. Cut kale leaves into chip size segments, and set aside in a large bowl. Add olive oil, spices, salt and pepper. Toss thoroughly to coat. Working in batches, roast the kale one layer at a time on a baking sheet for 14 minutes, or until desired crispiness.
